The guild is only steeped in tradition this way: that is why the guild jacket today also has six buttons, symbolically for the six days of the week for craft. We at FHB sew on all buttons with the characteristic Z. We have copied that from carpenters in the past. The Z sewing method prevents the button from falling off even if a thread is loose. FHB has registered trademark protection for this.
